Frequently asked questions & information
An important message from our supplier
Thinking eBay?
Recently, we have had many frantic brides call us because they have been burned by buying wedding dresses from designer magazine pictures on eBay (SOMETIMES THEY DONT EVEN GET THEIR DRESS!). All were listed with bridal magazine pictures only
Our supplier has had photos stolen and misrepresented on eBay numerous times. We at Asha's Bridal as well as our suppliers DO NOT sell on eBay. If our pictures are shown on eBay at all it is illegal, a violation of Copyright Law. If you happen to see any violations on eBay, please contact us at sales@ashasbridal.com.au
Here is what to watch out for
- Uses designer bridal magazine pictures only - DESIGNERS DO NOT SELL ON EBAY
- Item description is something similar to 'New Wedding Dress Bridal Gowns Prom Gowns all sizes' - does not use designer/label name
- The prices are listed in one country's currency, but seller is located in a different country
- The price on the listing is extremely low
- if you are looking for wedding dresses and you know how expensive they can run, beware when the listing is only asking $100-$200 for a $1500 retail gown
- No particular size or color is listed
- The auction/listing asks for size and color desired once you win
- No Ready-Made dresses - Custom Orders ONLY
- Many times the seller is located in China, but this can happen from any country.
We also have a picture of a gown we purchased from ebay and the actual gown, in store that you are welcome to come and see

Can I return the dress if I don't like it?
Our return policy is under the policy button above. Please read it carefully.
|
|
Can I return a dress that I ordered as a zipper back?
If the gown normally comes in a lace-up back and we have made it a zipper back, It would be considered a custom and not returnable or exchangable.
|
|
I am confused, what size wedding gown should I order?
Wedding gown dresses run smaller than normal clothing sizes. If you wear a 12 in normal clothing, you could wear 14 in a bridal gown. The size chart is an important guide, our advice is to have someone to help you with your measuring; measure yourself, then measure yourself and then check again to be sure. If you live in Adelaide you are welcome to make an appointment, or come in during opening hours to be fitted.
Remember all wedding gowns will need minor alterations.

Do You Ship International (Canada, Europe, Middle-East, Japan,....) ?
Yes we ship worldwide. The Buyer is responsible for ALL customs and duties (if applies). Please contact us for other countries.
Customs and Duties charges are accrued after the package has shipped to the destination country. Unfortunately we have no control over the amount you are charged for customs and duties. |
|
Do you offer alterations?
Our supplier has excellent in house seamstresses. At Asha's Bridal we recommend that you find someone locally as it is much more convenient, also there is no substitute for having the gown pinned whilst you are in it. Unfortunately many areas may lack skilled bridal seamstresses or they are very expensive. This is the reason our supplier offers this service. Please note that the dress will not be returnable after alterations as it becomes a custom gown. If you live in Adelaide Asha's have the name of some wonderful bridal couture trained seamstresses, please contact us for their details.

Do you Send Catalogues?
We apologize, we do not have catalogues. Our prices are so competitive that it would increase our prices significantly if we printed catalogues. We found out most brides are interested in only one or two styles. With our liberal return policy there is nothing to fear. We do allow you to keep the dress for three days (counting the day you receive it) without any sales pressure a re-stocking fee will be applied for refunds (please refer to our policy page). This is a minor risk for great savings!

|
How is the dress shipped?
We will be sending you the dress the same way we receive it at our bridal shop, in a box wrapped in a plastic bag to protect it from water and dirt. After your alterations are complete and before the wedding, you will need to have your dress steamed or pressed. Do not try to compare the dress to the ones already pressed, it is like trying to compare wrinkled clothes to the professionally dry cleaned ones.
